School Food
School Food Budgets is a brief explanation of typical school food funding, costs, and procurement. To help get a viable farm to school project started at your school, it is important to understand the budget conditions under which most school food service programs operate.
School Food FOCUS, with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, compiled School Food 101, a series of briefs to describe food service realities in the largest school districts in the country. The first of the series, "The Cost of School Lunch", was developed in collaboration with the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems, formerly the C.S. Mott Group for Sustainable Food Systems at MSU.
