North Central Region SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) and the C.S. Mott Professor of Sustainable Agriculture at Michigan State University provided funding for the original design and launch of the Michigan Farm to School website, and the design and production of Purchasing Michigan Products: A Step-By-Step Guide for school food service directors.

Project GREEEN (Generating Research and Extension to meet Economic and Environmental Needs) at MSU funded website updates and the development of Marketing Michigan Products: A Step-By-Step Guide to help farmers market their products to Michigan schools.

The WK Kellogg Foundation is currently funding the Michigan Farm to School: Scaling Up and Branching Out project to enhance on-going activities to support, coordinate and expand the Michigan Farm to School network, and develop a Michigan Farm to School grant program.
